Seven Barrows is a Bronze Age bowl barrow cemetery, 4-hectare (9.9-acre) of which are designated a biological Site of Special Scientific Interest, at Upper Lambourn in the civil parish of Lambourn in the English county of Berkshire.
Nov 12, 2017 · Seven Barrows Nicky began his training career in 1978, after being assistant to the legendary Fred Winter. He moved to the historic Seven Barrows yard with its private gallops in 1992 and has not looked back.
The seven barrows are set in two parallel lines running roughly North-West to South-East. The Seven Barrows are mostly bell barrows, some enclosed by low earthen rings.
Driving north from Lambourn we stopped off at Severn Barrows to admire the Bronze Age burial mounds on the Berkshire Downs. Not the most impressive in the world, but very interesting as the group includes a disc barrow - very rare.

A superb example of a Bronze Age cemetery lies to the North of Lambourn on the road towards the Ridgeway and Kingston Lisle. Although the site is known as Seven Barrows it actually contains 26 barrows of various types.
