May 10, 2024 · After almost 12 weeks of this we contacted the Energy Ombudsman. Scottish Gas made a financial offer to settle which we were not impressed by – to say nothing of the other ‘remedies’. In its own submission Scottish Gas acknowledged payments we had made were “missing”. A fact we had alerted Scottish Gas to weeks previously.
Aug 18, 2023 · On August 3rd my balance was £641.30 in credit. My quarterly bill was due around this time (usually the 5th), but i did not receive one until the 14th. The bill was for £103.37. My balance now is only £403.52 in credit. £237.78 would actually be a more typical quarterly bill for me, even with the price increases.

Apr 28, 2023 · My British Gas application has been sent back to me twice now, asking for additional info (e.g. I sent photos of smart meter with export reading and MPAN number, but now they insist on meter serial number on the photo as well!). It looks as if Scottish Power want different info (e.g. DNO confirmation reference number).
Apr 14, 2022 · Hi, I had the same situation on Tuesday (12th April) and I contacted B Gas via the online chat on the 13th after logging in as not only had none of my DD info and payment history been transferred there was a random £1.40 owing when I know I am over £230 in credit. I was told to be patient that the system would take several weeks to transfer.

I used a comparison website and it reckons that britsh gas' online saver tarrif is 35% cheaper than my existing Scottish Gas economy 7 tarrif. I take it its just a free for all when it comes to energy?

Can anyone explain why Scottish Power think it is acceptable to charge over £200 to remove a gas meter that is no longer needed due to the house moving to all electric green heating. I believe other providers offer this service for free - it seems like profiteering to me.
May 9, 2011 · my father had a scottish gas electricty payment card. dated 2001. the problem started when he went to post office. in february 2011 he has been paying to this account religiously. once a week from 2001 it was a scottish gas electricity payment. card.the person in the post office said he would need a new payment card as the card was cracked.
