Oct 21, 2020 · The Petplan representative I spoke to told me the only reason the premium had increased is because my Dog is a year older. An annual 16% increase means that by the time my Dog is 10, my monthly premium will be £180 per month! Grateful for thoughts on plans from other providers as I feel misled by PetPlan.
Jan 10, 2018 · The "last chance" antibiotics worked and 4 years later she is still with us. Petplan paid out right up to their £6000 limit on my policy with no problems whatsoever during what was a very stressful time for me. I did have to cover further costs in the same year, but Petplan made it so much easier for me.
Aug 22, 2023 · As above, for a Classic+ (£7000 cover per year) with Petplan for lifetime cover they want £27.26 per month with £75 excess. Now comparisons have thrown up. Admiral £16.53 pm for £5k with excess of £99. Sainsbury's bank £17.90 pm for £7.5k excess £99. LV £18.18 pm for £10k excess £150.

Sep 14, 2019 · Took out 'lifetime' with Petplan for an eight year old cat, started at £11.00 odd, last payment, five years later was £19.41. By then as well the exclusions went up to £95.00 (and they deducted a further 25% off the remainder before paying. Nothing is a bargain until you need them to payout.
11 March 2009 at 9:43PM. I have a percentage contributiontowards my dogs insurance and Im afraid to say its on top of the excess. (well it is with mine via pet protect anyway) So if bill is £500 you have the £70 excess and then also have to pay 20% of the remainder of the bill so another £86 and the insurer will pay the other £344.

The renewal docs for this year state the premium will be £694.80 with the monthly payment increasing from £45.95 to £57.90.
