I then went to transfer some money last month and it was rejected. I was prompted to phone them which I did and was told that the account was now a closed issue account.

When I try to log in it asks me for a user ID. I set up a password, memorable date, memorable name and memorable place. I don't remember setting up a user ID! Is this something that they send to you by post?
May 27, 2024 · Newcastle Building Society Base Rate Tracker Issue 1. I opened this easy access account in June 2023. It promises to pay the base rate less 0.70%, so currently 4.55%, until 31 December 2025. The account became no longer available last summer. I haven't used the account recently and am thinking of closing it.

I have an account number with them, but I assume this would be a roll number on BACS etc. as it isn't a normal 8 digit account number. Nor do I have a sort code.

Oct 2, 2015 · Newcastle Building Society. Just wanted to vent about this bank's NCL Home Saver ISA account which was advertised on MSE earlier this year. I opened one of these ISAs as at the time it had a good interest rate. However, within a month of opening they reduced the rate and I have just received notice that it is reducing again.
