Several attempts to remove and reinstall the usb drivers for the Ereader gave finally the sollution. Suddenly windows 11 recognized the reader. Thanks. At this point of time, I suggest you to get in touch with Kobo Support team to confirm that the device is compatible with Windows 10. Also check with them for any PC suite or application, that which acts as an interface to fix this issue.

Jul 20, 2020 · a month ago I downloaded to my Kobo ereader as it was recognized in file manage. Now I plug in the Kobo and it indicates that it is connected but it is not recognized in the file manager as connection. I have Window 10 version 1909. Any suggestions. Marvin

Jul 9, 2015 · Computer stopped recognizing Kobo touch e-reader. Tried adding it to devices but computer couldn't find it, tried different ports, tried another cable. Kobo recognizes being connected to computer for charging. Tried attaching Kobo to Mac - computer and Kobo touch connected fine. Tried talking to Kobo help - no help there.
The problem should be with my new laptop, as my ereader connects normally on other computers running both on Windows 10 and earlier versions. I have tried many things: I tried 4 different USB cables, both of the USB ports, I did a factory reset on my ereader and updated my laptop to the latest version of windows 10 but nothing seems to work!
