What is a glass kiln?
If your focus is making jewellery or smaller pieces, don't spend extra on a bigger kiln that costs more to fire and takes up space - a smaller kiln like the Skutt Firebox 8 is perfect for this. If you're bead-making, consider the Paragon SC2. This makes annealing the beads much easier than in standard kilns.
The Garb 12/5 model boasts enhanced customisability, and has a tried and tested industry reputation for producing high quality, structurally sound glass products. Each annealing kiln we manufacture can be fitted to your exact requirements, with a full or split door opening system, and five work trays included as standard.
The kilns we offer are specifically engineered for kiln-formed glass applications including fusing, lustering, casting and decorating. A large proportion of our kilns can be operated using a single phase electrical supply, up to and including 40 amps.
Shop the largest selection of annealing kilns for lampworking and glass beadmaking from top brands like Paragon, Skutt and Jen-Ken. Same Day Shipping Worldwide.
Annealing is a process of slowly cooling hot glass objects after they have been formed, to relieve residual internal stresses introduced during manufacture.
Kilns are programmed to slowly cool (anneal) glass to eliminate any stress after it is formed. Glass pieces may crack or shatter when subject to small temperature change or mechanical shock and annealing glass is critical to its durability.
Paragon SC3 Bead Annealing Kiln. This is a special order kiln and will normally take 20-30 days to arrange production and delivery although please allow upto 60 days depending on the time of year and Paragons production schedule.
