  1. Oct 19, 2023 · Using my new mincer. My Kenwood Chef (from the 1970's) has finally given up the ghost. A new one the same size would cost £400 then the mincer attachment another £150. I thought long and hard about replacing it (or getting it fixed which we may still do). For now though, I hardly use the rest of it so we shopped around for just a mincer.

  2. 1 1/2 pints meat stock (two stock cubes) 1 tablespoon tomato puree. 1 1/2 lb chunks of peeled potatoes. Grated strong cheese - I use cheddar. Add two tablespoons of oil into a frying pan and fry the onion until soft but not brown - remove from pan. Add the meat and fry until no longer pink.

  3. Jun 29, 2021 · At 5am this morning, it poured it down, a very welcome relief for the garden. It is less hot today thank goodness, but grey with the possibility of showers. That's unfortunate, as last night, Ruby wet herself on her new laundered day bed. Luckily it is a folded up double summer quilt and has been washed already.

  4. Dec 31, 2020 · Currently, Norfolk is in tier 2 restrictions for Covid-19. I was pretty sure we would go up to 3, but have instead shot up to tier 4. I am sure he will let me know in due course.

Some might say that is practicing mindfulness but I don't really know. Take the picture below: Such gorgeous colours. Just one shelf in my dehydrater, separated bramble leaves and English marigold (Calendula).

  6. Dec 20, 2022 · Jackie 20 December 2022 at 22:41. What a great donation to the food bank. Things are getting way to expensive. Another shopper and I were talking today and garlic bulbs are $9.99 a pound here now. That means three bulbs would probably cost about $3.00 up about 100%.

  7. Aug 11, 2023 · I still consider myself a newbie gardener having started just 2 years ago on retirement. Yesterday we had our first ever 100% home grown salad (tomatoes, cucumber, baby spinach, mixed leaves, mint and chives) I was so pleased, and to add to my joy, my granddaughter asked for "seconds of salad, please Grandma ".
