From what I heard a year or so ago, Biyadhoo has been bought by the people that own the Coco Palm brand. Therefore it's quite likely that it will be upgraded to 5 star. I'm afraid that normally means that the islands are closed and reopen about 9 months later with a price tag to match.
Feb 1, 2024 · But sunland have always owned Biyadhoo. So it’s just a case of Biyadhoo moving under the umbrella of the Coco collection of CPDK and CBH instead of being some random budget 3 star island owned by sunland.
Biyadhoo is a lovely island. Very natural and laid back with absolutely no pretensions. Yes - the rooms are a bit tired but you don't spend much waking time in them.

We are counting down to our first trip to the maldives, off to Biyadhoo in just under 5 weeks. Just a couple of questions, I know they've probably been answered on here before but I can't find the threads now. Firstly, am I right in thinking that the west side of the island has the best beach? Which room numbers does anyone recommend?
