Summers are hot and dry, but not suffocating thanks to the Atlantic Ocean, and winters are mild with hardly any rain (50 days with rain and 500 mm on average each year), combined with very inviting springs and autumns.

Just after on any recent news on when Oceanville is due to open. I had a walk around at New Year, it is a lovely place but completly deserted. Posted: 13/November/2021 at 10:19. There is currently a major refurb going on at the Continente/Albufeira Shopping centre. The top floor is closed, most of the bottom floor is also shut. The dry cleaner, key cutter, exchange bureau and phone store are all gone, the stuff from Continente's upper floor is now in their place.
Pigeons and gulls are becoming a real problem in Albufeira. Their numbers are increasing and the gulls seem to be more belligerent than ever. Their survival is not an issue. For myself, I would never encourage them by feeding them. As a twice yearly visitor of Albufeira of some 15 years I love the town and the people.
Got the train in Sete Rios. It was about 20mins late, and taxis were waiting at Ferreiras. Lovely comfortable journey.
