Obviously with Sherlock Holmes not being a real person, the museum is a collection of genuine Victorian antiques made to resemble what Sherlocks home would have looked like. There is a very short informative chat from a guide at the beginning of the tour, no more than 5 minutes, and then you are left to explore the rest of the museum yourself which would in total take roughly 20 minutes.
