The movie begins with Martijn visiting his estranged sister and declaring that he had decided to make a documentary about her. His sister, Daantje is obviously uncomfortable about it and his sudden appearance but she plays along.
Zusje is the story of a young man who returns in the life of his younger sister after years and years of absence. Unabashedly, sometimes charming, then downright annoying, he follows her with his video camera in everything she does.
