Nov 2, 2020 · Dr. Mark Zucker, the director of cardiothoracic transplantation at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center who helped bring national recognition and praise for the program, but later came under scrutiny, is leaving the medical center after 31 years.
Dr. Zucker has been a principle investigator on dozens of pharmaceutical and mechanical support trials including NIH sponsored trials, and is an author of over 200 articles and abstracts relating to the management and care of heart failure and transplant patients.
