- Steve Austin. The best face of the Attitude Era was the man that defined that time in wrestling. Steve Austin’s character would have been a heel in any prior era of wrestling, but the audience quickly started to love his antics.
- Mick Foley. The iconic career of Mick Foley saw him showcasing more character depth than just about anyone else. Foley got to the top of WWE when playing a face character with more references to his real persona outside of the three gimmicks.
- The Rock. WWE was loaded with top superstars all over the roster during the Attitude Era. The Rock struggled as a face before the product got edgier. It was the heel promos that made fans start to fall in love with him as the new era started.
- Chris Jericho. Chris Jericho made a genius decision jumping ship from WCW to WWE in 1999. The lower ceiling in WCW influenced Jericho to take a pay cut for a bigger opportunity in WWE.
