It took me long to get into the book, and I came to enjoy the long rising climax, but the ending had no explanation for what could have been a multitude of endless possibilities. So many developing plots we're lost to an ending that seemed too rushed to be plausible.
Anything is worth your time if you want to have a valid opinion on it and want to know exactly why something is bad. That said, Under The Dome the show was absolutely horrible. Suffered from CBS primetime syndrome, I think. The book is a pretty solid late King novel.
