World War Z is the zombie film for people who are too afraid to watch zombie films. Full Review | Original Score: 2.2/5 | Nov 19, 2019
Jun 21, 2013 · “World War Z” is mostly David Lean-on-caffeine panoramas of computer-generated zombies swarming ant-like up walls and over barricades and taking down computer-generated choppers while Forster’s close-up camera swings all over the place to generate unearned “excitement.”
On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, 66% of 288 critics' reviews are positive, with an average rating of 6.2/10. The website's consensus reads: "It's uneven and diverges from the source book, but World War Z still brings smart, fast-moving thrills and a solid performance from Brad Pitt to the zombie genre.
World War Z is a zombie outbreak movie that supposedly bases itself on the amazing book of the same name by Max Brooks. What this movie truly is, is a shamefully mediocre attempt to create a movie that appeals to the widest audience possible.

Review by DNM ★★½ A horny, unstupid, well-acted, gory 2.5 hour investigative thriller apparently compiled from a three- season Brit TV show. Misplaced tension, suspense and compression undermine the story, which ends in a confused mess.
