There was a lot of controversy with World War Z centered around fans of the book hating it as well as reshoots/recuts, but as a thrill ride and theatrical experience I loved it. Like I Am Legend, the zombies looked way too cg, but I can forgive that given how many thousands of zombies they showed.
World War Z should be a an HBO or Netflix series. Ok so hear me out. They could finally do an adaptation more similar to the book, with slow zombies and what have you. But they could also do more world building with things like the lobo, the reteker plan, etc.
If you are looking for a solid zombie movie, world war z is worth the time. Especially if you like “fast moving” zombies in place of “slow moving” zombie hordes. 28 days later style….
It's uneven and diverges from the source book, but World War Z still brings smart, fast-moving thrills and a solid performance from Brad Pitt to the zombie genre. Read Critics Reviews
