   There was a lot of controversy with World War Z centered around fans of the book hating it as well as reshoots/recuts, but as a thrill ride and theatrical experience I loved it. Like I Am Legend, the zombies looked way too cg, but I can forgive that given how many thousands of zombies they showed.

   Yes, the movie is totally worth watching, especially if you like zombies. I'd say that the book informs the movie, but they are not directly related. The book is written as a history book based on interviews with multiple characters who lived through World War Z.

   • It's true, World War Z is nothing like the book. The book is told from the point of view AFTER the war. It's a "historical," account of what happened during the war. Rather than make a mockumentary with flashbacks, which would have been the wrong decision in my opinion, the filmmakers decided to put us right in the middle of the action.
