I absolutely agree with you. She's incredibly unlikeable and frustrating - zero development on her end. They also barely showed her being a mom in the more recent seasons. I don't know why they got rid of Ian; I honestly thought that Jenny would be phased out and Ian would continue being a POV character.

She exists almost solely to rile Anne up. The show is workin moms, but there is very little meaningful time spent between the moms and their kids. Whenever Alice appears onscreen it’s like ugh, what is it going to be now. I wish they’d spend more time on Anne and Lionel.
