Woodlands Primary School opened on the 1 st September 2016 and was formed from the amalgamation of two already successful schools, Woodlands Infant School and Woodlands Junior School. We are a school that likes to celebrate success at every level.

Every National Curriculum subject is valued and taught consistently across the school. Reading is at the heart of all we do and it features across our curriculum. English and mathematics are the bedrock of primary education and we prioritise the acquisition of key knowledge in these subjects.
Mathematics. At Woodlands, we believe in a mastery curriculum where all children can learn all things. We work to ensure that mathematical concepts are presented to the children in a way that allows the children to understand mathematical structures securely.
There are four key areas to our geography curriculum: Locational Knowledge - Beginning in Key Stage 1, children embark on their geographical journey by focusing on continents and oceans. This foundational knowledge is continually reinforced and expanded upon as they move through the school.
