Joe is excited about his new vacuum, the Hosemaster, and it's unconditional, lifetime, eternal guarantee. After Helen breaks the vacuum, the crooked vacuum cleaner salesman wants to charge them for repairs leading to a feud with the Hacketts. Synopsis by Hal Erickson. When a shifty vacuum cleaner salesman (Sam McMurray) won't honor his "eternal" guarantee, Joe (Tim Daly) and Helen (Crystal Bernard) stop making payments. The salesman retaliates by holding the cleaner "hostage" until the couple pays the exorbitant ransom.
