William John Kennedy has been a fine art and advertising photographer for over 60 years. He has shown at multiple exhibitions, from Love and Warhol Photography (2020: Metroquadro Gallery, Wynwood, Miami) to A Night at the W Museum (2019: W Hotel, Miami Design Week) and Essential Robert Indiana (2014: Indianapolis Museum of Art).
William Joseph Kennedy (born January 16, 1928) is an American writer and journalist who won the 1984 Pulitzer Prize for his 1983 novel Ironweed . Kennedy's other works include The Ink Truck (1969), Legs (1975), Billy Phelan's Greatest Game (1978), Roscoe (2002) and Changó's Beads and Two-Tone Shoes (2011).
William Kennedy has been called the “Bard of Albany” – and the city returns his love. Most recently, it did so via a display at the Albany airport terminal, part of the Albany Book Festival. The Irish-American author kindly loaned his vintage 1930 L.C. Smith and Corona typewriter for the occasion.
