- No one would really argue that “And In The End…” was anything other than the highlight of season 15. After all, it was the grand finale to the longest-running medical drama on primetime TV at that point, as well as a series that really did make television history.
- Season 15 - "And In The End"
- Season 14 - "The War Comes Home" “The War Comes Home” opened season 14 of ER with a bang. Several casualties from an anti-war rally in Chicago brings many patients to County General Hospital, causing Abby, Morris, and Pratt to struggle to tend to everyone.

- "Love's Labor Lost" Not just one of the best episodes of its season, or of the show as a whole, it was an episode of television so powerful it merited a full breakdown of its creation 25 years later.
- "Hell And High Water" This high-drama episode focusing on Dr. Ross vaulted George Clooney from mere actor to superstar, paving the way for his eventual jump to movies.
- "Union Station" In the show's first exit of a major character, we say goodbye to Susan (Sherry Stringfield) and get a sweet ending to her and Dr. Greene's sort-of not-quite relationship.
- "Exodus" A major event episode, with a chemical spill forcing every core character (with the exception of poor Kerry Weaver) into dramatic situations, including exacerbating the Doug and Carol (Julianna Margulies) drama by leaning in to that cliché of television clichés: Trapped In An Elevator.
May 24, 2019 · “ER” featured storylines and arcs about addiction, AIDS, post-traumatic stress, sexual abuse, LGBT parental rights, and so much more, in some cases long before those issues were widely showcased...

Jan 24, 2024 · “ER,” which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, is exactly the kind of show that seems to have gone extinct in the streaming era: a long-running network drama complete with special guest stars, holiday episodes, and dramatic, cliffhanger season finales throughout all 15 seasons of 20-plus episodes each.
