   Me and my sister went to the new Vue Cinema in Basildon for the first time, and it was a great experience. I knew the cinema used to be an Empire Cinema until they went bankrupt. The venue is great, putting it near Eastgate shopping centre was a smooth choice. The ticket prices are definitely cheaper than Cineworld.

   • At last the new cinema in Basildon is finally open after being caught up in the demise of Empire. Now under the control of VUE, we went on day three of opening to check it out. I’m not a big fan of Vue’s utilitarian look and feel, but you can’t knock the ticket price; significantly cheaper than the monopoly that is Cineworld at Baz Vegas.
