Feb 24, 2021 · Kaneohe Bay. Kaneohe’s most famous asset is its beautiful bay, 8 miles long and 2.7 miles across. Kaneohe Bay is a remnant from the caldera of the Koʻolau volcano, and is protected to the north by one of only two barrier reefs in Hawaii.
Kaneohe Sandbar offers crystal clear waters, white sand beaches, and stunning views. The Kaneohe Sandbar boasts some of the clearest, most beautiful waters in all of Hawaii. Its pristine lagoon provides a perfect backdrop for the white sand beaches that line its shores.
Kane'ohe Bay stretches from the Mokapu Peninsula, home of the U.S. Marine Corps, and is Mokoli'i Island or Chinamen’s Hat. The bay is the largest sheltered body of water in the Hawaiian Islands and is home to the largest saltwater sandbar in the world. It is known for fishing, kayaking and boating.

Mar 23, 2022 · WHY YOU SHOULD VISIT THE SANDBAR IN KANEOHE, HAWAII. Kaneohe is on the East Side of Oahu making it a 40-minute drive from Ewa Beach. It was no problem though. The views of the H3, only built in our lifetime, offer jaw-dropping, breathtaking, views of the Ko’olau Mountains.
