Many tourists visit New York City during the Christmas season to see the light displays, but the real show is in Dyker Heights, Brooklyn. Most of the action is located in the 80's between 10th - 13th Avenues, but one of the busiest streets is 84th between 11th and 12th.

It has always been on my NYC bucket list to visit Dyker Heights after I first watched Dash and Lily during Christmas 2020, and it certainly does not disappoint! Each house’s attention to detail and holiday spirit is incredible. What’s even cooler is the deep sense of community one feels when walking around the beautifully lit streets.

Nov 22, 2022 · 1. Choose Your Transportation Wisely. The Southwest Brooklyn neighborhood of Dyker Heights is about 8 miles from Lower Manhattan. It is a predominantly residential, traditionally Italian-American neighborhood full of brownstones and brick houses.
We heard about the Dyker Heights lights on the local news while we were visiting New York and decided to drop by. We took public transportation from Manhattan to Dyker Heights and then took our own tour on foot.
