  2. Haven't read any of Cassandra Clare's books myself. Mortal Instruments doesn't interest me too much, but I have been thinking about giving Infernal Devices a try instead. Its a prequel trilogy to Mortal Instruments and from what I hear it is also way better (plus 3 books is easier to read than 6).

  4. Mortal Instruments is six books and should have only been three. The last three are garbage. I LOVED Infernal Devices which unfortunately does pack a bigger punch if you've already read MI (the MCs are the ancestors of MI characters). Dark Artifices was painful to get through -- the whole forbidden love was getting old.
