While Cranbrook is a selective school that admits students based on strong academic performance in its day and boarding entrance exams, it is not a believer in "hot-house methods". However, it does expect hard work, commitment and independent learning.
As a State-funded grammar school for boys and girls, we cater for the top 20 -25% of the academic ability range and places are always oversubscribed. Year 7 entry is via the Kent 11+ exam. Year 9 candidates take the Cranbrook Entrance Exam – please see Year 9 admissions page for further details.

In Kent, the 11 plus is known as the Kent Test. Registration for the 2024 Kent Test opens in early June 2024 and closes in early July 2024.
