Start with the manga and once you get to the thousand year blood war arc start watching the anime and don’t read the manga for it but for all the other arcs, besides the filler arcs watch Bleach anime. There’s 202 cannon episodes for Bleach and 164 filler episodes.

If a reader wishes to blitz through this story arc from beginning to end, then they may, without having to wait for new anime episodes/seasons.
