   Now, this is why I think Sonic 2 is badly designed. The level design in this game is the worst in the Genesis trilogy because the design of the levels suck if you try, keyword, TRY, to go into the special stages. Now when you start, it's not so bad, but it starts to suck when you reach Aquatic ruins (I think that's the name).

   What's wrong with Sonic 2?

   • The main problem with them is that they are designed in a way that aside from the first two special stages there is no way someone is going to be able to beat them on their first try. At least with Sonic 1's special stages you could get all the chaos emeralds on your first try. But with sonic 2's the game doesn't really give you that luxury.

   Sonic 2 is overrated. There. I said. I honestly don't get why Sonic 2 is considered the best game in the series. Sure the first half of the game is fun and full of fast paced gameplay, but once you get to Oil Ocean zone the entire game takes a nosedive for me. The problem with oil ocean is that it isn't fun or fair in the slightest.
