In April 2010, the Louisville VA Medical Center was renamed in honor of World War I-era Veteran and longtime VA volunteer Robley Rex. Robley Henry Rex was born in May 1901 in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. He enlisted in the Army in 1919 at age 18 and served in Army Intelligence in Europe.
