I've been rewatching the show and as always Piper's attitude gives me whiplash this season. She goes from just normal weird Piper to cheating on Alex, weirdly obsessed with her 'power' from the panty business, talking differently, looking sickly, and just generally being weird.
Tbf, Piper is one of my favourite characters, but I can totally see why people find her annoying. I myself find her annoying in TLH, since for like half the book she doesn't do much except drooling at Jason and being like "if only they know my secret they would hate me so muuuch" urgh...
