One is a wish or desire, the other is a certainty or guarantee. Let me use a verse from Scripture to illustrate the point.

    The word “hope” occurs in 121 verses in the KJV. That’s too many to share in one post, so I’ve chosen 19 scriptures that mention hope in God’s word, hope in the Lord, hope to the end, the hope of eternal life, the hope that is in you, and Jesus is our hope.

    There is definitely a hope deficit in our world today. Depressionis on the rise, and people are desperate for true and lasting hope. That hope comes from Jesus, but they don’t know that if we don’t tell them. Let’s be hope dealers and share the scriptures on hope, so others can walk in peace and victory, too!
