- Because heaven is also a place where there will be no sin or suffering, no sorrow or pain. It's a place where there will be no quarrels or disagreements, no disappointments or weeping—because there will be nothing there to make us sad. And in heaven we will never do anything to displease God. We will then know perfect joy.

Dec 14, 2021 · Because Jesus loves his church with a love “that surpasses knowledge” (Ephesians 3:19), he desires for the members of his body to build up one another — and in order to do that, we need not only faith, and not only hope, but love.
Jan 10, 2020 · We pray in Jesus’s name because in him “we have a great high priest” (Hebrews 4:14; also 10:21). Just as the high priest alone could enter the very presence of God in the earthly tabernacle (and only once a year), so Jesus is greater, entering God’s own presence in heaven.
- Praying to God Helps Us To Grow Closer To God. If I can sum up the importance of prayer into one big reason, it would be this: prayers help us grow closer to God.
- Prayer Helps Us To Align Ourselves with God’s Will. When we pray, we are also aligning ourselves with God’s will. We are asking Him to lead us and help us in our journey through life.
- Prayer Shows You That Your Life is Not About You. Not only will praying help us to align to God’s will, but it also helps us come to terms with reality – life is indeed not about us after all.
- Prayer Gives Us Strength and Hope. It can be easy to feel like we are alone when things are tough, but God is always with us. When we pray, we are reminded that He is in control and will help us through whatever situation we are facing.
When you pray, your words are received by God at the altar in heaven. Your prayers are like sweet incense that rises up to God and fills the throne room in heaven. The Bible tells us that God hears our prayers and that He is a loving Father who desires to give good gifts to His children.
Oct 18, 2007 · There are two things that this passage teaches us: 1) we learn that faith, hope, and love abide in heaven. We get to heaven by faith in the risen Lord Jesus (Rom. 10:9-10) and that faith will not end when we get there. 2) And we learn that love is superior to faith and hope in heaven.
Nov 17, 1996 · Pray earnestly that God would open your mind and heart to this greatness and this certainty and incline you to hope in him. Consider how much Christ has suffered for your hope. Consider Christians like yourselves who have laid hold on hope in Christ.
In essence, when we pray, we lay down a part of our lives to serve God. We give up moments of our lives to prioritize and connect with Him. This is one way we become living sacrifices (Romans 12:1).
