  2. During the S1 episode when Jake prematurely arrested someone without an evidence, Holt forced them to work over the weekend. Shouldn't it be the job of the weekend crew now? Also, does it mean that there are other Captains in the 99th precinct aside from Holt, like a night shift Captain and a weekend Captain?

"The Honeypot" is the 7th episode of Season Six of the NBC television show Brooklyn Nine-Nine. It aired on February 21, 2019.

Jake and Holt clash over the merits of a new hire in the 99th precinct. Terry, Amy, Rosa and Charles try to do something about the cluttered bullpen.

The episode's cold open features Holt, Jake and Rosa by a new coffee machine, Jake drinking cold brew. They talk about how the coffee is quite good, and then discuss the amount of coffee they've had so far that day. At this point, Boyle comes up to them, and in slow motion, tells them to stop and that they're drinking too much. They are surprised as the effects of caffeine are shared between them, but to the others they are speaking in an abnormally fast manner.

Jake decides to help Captain Holt hire a new assistant, while Holt is having trouble choosing one. Soon after, Jake brings in a potential hire called Gordon Lundt, but they discover that he is a honeypot spying for Commissioner Kelly. They devise a strategy (Operation Dragon) to find proof of this to blackmail Kelly, but they are interrupted by Lundt confessing. Jake proposes for Lundt to double-cross Kelly but it backfires: Lundt triple crosses Holt, by telling Kelly that Jake and Holt put a wire on him. However, Holt had several hidden microphones installed in their meeting place and he recorded Kelly admitting to spying on him. He presents Kelly with a list of demands, including stopping the Vigilant Policing project and reopening the 99th Precinct's first floor.

  4. As we all know, Captain Holt joined the 99 during the pilot which aired in 2013, so obviously he's the last to join. And Hitchcock and Scully were the first ones since they joined back in the late 70s. It was also shown in a flashback that Amy joined when Jake and Charles were already there.

  5. The 99th Precinct is the fictional main setting of Brooklyn Nine Nine. The second floor of the Nine-Nine isn’t directly named in any episode, however when Santiago is appointed Sergeant, her squad is referred to as ‘downstairs people’ by Terry and Rosa.
