Zoro allowing himself to get beaten due to Luffy's orders. Jaya's main town was full of famous pirates that were constantly brawling with each other. Luffy and Zoro had a run-in with a pirate known as Bellamy the Hyena, who ridiculed their dreams and beat them up.
Fujitora– Zoro was confronted by Admiral Fujitora and intercepted him in between his attack on Doflamingo. Zoro got trapped in his gravity attack and was sent straight to hell. Zoro managed to counterattack with his flying long-range slice and got out of the Fujitora‘s gravity clutches.
Zoro obviously won that fight because Killer was the first to fall. But Killer's attack also made Zoro fall afterwards so it's not due to the poisoning (which was like a full week ago if not more). It would be highly convenient if he only fell after he got that hit from Killer.
- Yeti Cool Brothers. Zoro, surprisingly, fell to the Yeti Cool Brothers during the Punk Hazard arc of One Piece. Although he was much stronger than either of them, the two knew the place much better than Zoro and managed to sneak an attack on the Straw Hat swordsman that ended up knocking him out.
- Kizaru, Kuma, and Sentomaru. On Sabaody Archipelago, the entire Straw Hat Pirate crew was defeated and destroyed after Luffy punched a Celestial Dragon at the Auction House.
- Bartholomew Kuma (Thriller Bark) Roronoa Zoro traded blows with Bartholomew Kuma, one of the Shichibukai, during the Thriller Bark arc of One Piece.
- Rob Lucci. At Water 7, Zoro briefly clashed against Rob Lucci, the strongest of the CP-9, after he completely overpowered Luffy in a fight. Just like his captain, Zoro was easily defeated and thrown miles away.
- During the Timeskip. During his training, Zoro also learned from Mihawk how to imbue his swords with Busoshoku Haki. To Zoro's chagrin, Mihawk forbade him from having any alcohol until he had mastered doing so.
- Fish-Man Island Saga. Return to Sabaody Arc. After two years of training, Zoro (with Perona's help) returned to Sabaody Archipelago. Shakuyaku told him that he was the first to return.
- Dressrosa Saga. Punk Hazard Arc. Arriving at Punk Hazard. Soon after entering the New World, the crew spots an island surrounded by a sea of flames. The Straw Hats then receive a distress call from someone who seems to be in trouble and mentions a samurai attacking and killing them, before the broadcast cuts out.
- Whole Cake Island Saga. Zou Arc. Encounter with the Mink Tribe. During a hailstorm, Zoro was shocked to learn that the Barto Club does not have a navigator, lack experience in sailing, and they usually called a granny who gives them useless advice.
