  4. I happen to think that, as his servant, Zant's life force was connected to Ganondorf's. As the physical body that Zant worked so hard to restore perished, so did he.

  5. When Ganondorf was tossed into the Twilight Realm, his body was annihilated because Light Worlders can't survive in Twilight by themselves - they turn into spirits. That's why he appears as a giant flaming Malice head to Zant.

  6. IMO the number one reason the Zant twist fell flat was because he completely changed character once you got to his boss fight. Since he's so off-the-rails, it's as if he had no control over the situation and he was just being manipulated by Ganondorf, making him far less intimidating, making defeating him far less of an accomplishment.

  8. For the most part, Zant was just channeling Ganondorf's power (and by extension the power of the Triforce). I surmise that the only reason Zant was able to snap Ganondorf's neck was because Ganondorf inextricably linked himself to Zant in order to manifest.
