In Genesis 2:18, we read of the one thing that was not declared “good” in all of God’s creation: “Then the LORD God said, ‘It is not good that the man should be alone.’” The same verse includes God’s solution: “I will make him a helper fit for him.” Eve was the solution to Adam’s deficiency.

Oct 23, 2022 · See Genesis 19:17-26. The next bit of information in the account is that Lot's wife must have been behind Lot when she decided to turn around and look back. The account does not say exactly when she disobeyed, but it could have been just as Lot and the two daughters were about to enter Zoar.
Why in parables instead of, as before, the direct announcement of the kingdom of heaven, and the call to prepare for it by repentance? And why to them, when they were not students with intellect sharpened in Rabbinic schools, but plain peasants and fishermen, slow and dull of heart?
