May 12, 2020 · Kier has handed over Dixons Sixth Form Academy on Old Bowling Lane in Bradford to the Department for Education (DfE). The building has been handed over on time, with the main building handed over six weeks early, creating much-needed education facilities for the area.
Founded by Dixons City Academy, our trust has over 30 years’ experience in transforming education through our network of high-performing non-faith academies, and now operates in Bradford, Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester. Our schools include primary, secondary, all-through and sixth form.

In 2019, we opened our Sixth Form Academy in the old Douglas Mill building in Bradford as our school-based sixth forms had become increasingly oversubscribed. Like all Dixons academies, the Sixth Form Academy is focused on high expectations, is values driven, and aims to provide an education that is second to none.
Many of the new sixth form's cohort came directly from the neighbouring Dixons City Academy, but a large proportion come from schools right across Bradford and the district.
