Jul 8, 2016 · On the PC version, yes, the name you give your randomly generated world also acts as its seed. It actually strips out all spaces, so "My Name Is Jeff" becomes "MyNameIsJeff" to the system. On the console, I'd imagine it's the same way, but I don't know for certain.

- We should compile a list of good seed names for players to use.
But from what I did see of the map, it really wasn't bad. Lack of multiple Traders nearby, but it had potential none the less. I've tried other seeds, spent ridiculous amounts of time mapping out new ones to find that next to perfect location, but to no success. Navezgane has to be mentioned.
The console version is a totally different game than the PC version. So the seed names won't likely match up. Seems to be some good map names here. https://community.7daystodie.com/topic/19387-ps4-xb1-seeds/page/13/ My favorite was always BUZZSAW. If I remembered the name correctly it was basically a city map.
Here is my album of the best maps I've played, for future reference. I just finished "jolly16", which was mentioned in the comments of crackpots last seed video. Its awesome. Lots of towns (mostly forest/plains), several traders.
