Sep 30, 2021 · Tried a recent 480MB software update (Galaxy Watch 4) via Galaxy Wearable app on Galaxy S21 Ultra, which failed to copy to watch - with the error message above. Updated via watch and it worked - slowly - but it worked.
I've tried disabling WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC and even the cellular connection on my phone, while updating in the watch itself, none of it worked. My solution, I open the settings on the watch itself but don't press update yet, reboot the phone, then press update on the watch while the phone reboots. This works every time for me.
Sep 8, 2022 · Galaxy Watch. One more trick to resolve this issue. 1) Turn ON Airplane Mode. 2) Turn ON wifi on the smartwatch and then go the setting -> watch software update -> Download update. 3) Once downloaded, it will give you option to install.
Dec 28, 2023 · This is how I got around it: I connected the watch to Wi-Fi and I DISCONNECTED the watch from my phone by turning the phone Bluetooth off. Then I was able to update on the watch. Please respond with your status.
