Make no mistake, The Police Are Blundering in the Dark is ‘forgotten’ because it’s not on par with Orgasmo, The Strange Vice of Mrs. Wardh, Deep Red, or any of the top-tier films the genre has to offer.

Yet another misogynistic killer is on the loose in the short(at 75 minutes) and rare Italian giallo that has a group of people gathering at a manor where its wheelchair bound owner uses a machine that can photograph peoples' thoughts,amid the mass amounts of nudity and gory murders that occur throughout the film. It's pretty much an interesting and entertaining giallo in its own right.
If you have seen your fair share of gialli movies, this one will feel familiar and should be right up your alley. The murder mystery keeps going until the very end with a sudden twist and a typically ”shocking” reveal that suits the movie well.
The Police Are Blundering in the Dark. During an outbreak of violent murders in the area targeting young women, a journalist searching for a female friend gone missing ends up in a villa owned by an eccentric photographer.
