Apr 28, 2019 · David was married to Ahinoam, Abigail, Maacha, Haggith, Abital, and Eglah during the 7-1/2 years he reigned in Hebron as king of Judah. After David moved his capital to Jerusalem, he married Bathsheba. Each of his first six wives bore David a son, while Bathsheba bore him four sons.
1 Chronicles 3:1-4 states that King David’s first seven wives gave him six children, while they lived in Hebron. In the city of Jerusalem, David’s eighth wife, Bathsheba, gave him four sons after the death of her first son.
Michal. Michal, the daughter of King Saul, was David's first wife. Their marriage is recounted in 1 Samuel 18:20-27. Saul initially offered his elder daughter Merab to David, but she was given to another man. Michal, however, loved David, and Saul saw an opportunity to use this to his advantage.
