    Joanna Foster (born 1964) appeared in Coronation Street in January and February 2001 as the fourth and last actress to play Susan Barlow, before the character was killed off-screen in a car accident.

    She is the daughter of actor Barry Foster, famous for Van der Valk, and the sister of Miranda Foster. A singer as well as an actress, she has performed pieces by Brecht and formed an a cappella group with singer Venice Manley and has been a member of the group Beskydy who play music from the Balkans.

    Other television roles include Ginny Davenport in the Five soap Family Affairs between 2002 and 2003; Miriam, the sister of Moses, in the History Channel's 2013 mini-series based on The Bible; plus Brookside, The Visitor, Testament of Youth and The Bill among others.
