If you cannot locate your ancestor in the locality in which you believe they lived, then try searching records of a nearby town or county 3. Try different spellings of your ancestor’s name 4. Remember that sometimes individuals went by nicknamesor alternated between using first and middle names, or even initials

Jan 15, 2024 · From 1882 to 1900, Indiana records of death are filed only with the local health department in the county where the death actually occurred. For deaths that exist during the time period, try the following databases.
