Tammy Gregorio is an NCIS Special Agent and also a member of the NCIS New Orleans team led by NCIS Special Agent Dwayne Cassius Pride who prior to joining NCIS worked as a Special Agent for the FBI until she was fired from the agency in January 2017.
Pre-Series
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Gregorio is the daughter of an unnamed man and woman with her aunt being a woman named Connie although it was never revealed if Gregorio herself had any siblings or was an only child. At some point, Gregorio's father abandoned the family with Gregorio learning of his death while she was attending college. Years later, the FBI walked into the church rectory during a wedding where Gregorio's cousin, Theresa, was getting married and arrested Theresa's father, Uncle Marco, for embezzlement just as he was about to walk his own daughter down the isle. Instead, Marco wound up in prison for eighteen months and Gregorio's father walked Theresa down the isle instead, everyone acting as if nothing had happened. At some point, Gregorio attended law school to help her join the FBI but never took the bar. Upon joining the FBI, Gregorio was presumably sent on numerous assignments and even received training to become a sharpshooter, making her one of only a few female agents to accomplish. Gregorio soon became a fully-fledged agent, her divisional specialty being counter-terrorism and behavioral profiling, but sniper activity is a sub-specialty. She later met and married Ethan McKinley with the marriage lasting for five years, the couple moving to New Orleans from New York. However, when Hurricane Katrina struck in 2005, Gregorio realized her husband had embezzled 80 million dollars from the FEMA funds which directly led to the two of them divorcing. Upon the divorce becoming official, Gregorio took back her maiden name and left New Orleans while McKinley disappeared, remaining in hiding for ten years. At some point, Gregorio was transferred to Washington D.C. where she was in a relationship with Assistant U.S. Attorney Hannah Lee for a while with the two soon presumably breaking up.
Firearms
Like her colleagues in the FBI and NCIS, Gregorio is trained in the use of firearms and can fire a single round capable of either killing or incapacitating her target. Gregorio is also a trained sharpshooter, her skills proving valuable to the NCIS New Orleans team as she often serves as the team's sniper, providing cover for her teammates whenever they're in the field or usually eliminating a target she believes might be a danger to herself or her NCIS colleagues.
Profiling
Having received profiler training at the FBI, Gregorio can create a profile designed to give her NCIS colleagues an insight into the type of criminal they're investigating.
She is known for playing Detective Aiden Burn in the first season of the CBS crime drama CSI: NY, as well as for her recurring portrayal of Claudia Hernandez in FOX drama 24, and for her starring roles as FBI Agent Charlie DeMarco in the USA Network series Graceland and as Tammy Gregorio on the CBS crime drama series NCIS: New Orleans.
