Riley Matthews is the main character in the Disney Channel sequel series, Girl Meets World. She is the daughter and firstborn child of Cory and Topanga Matthews, and is the older sister of Auggie Matthews. Cory is also Riley's history teacher in middle school and later in high school, which is sometimes a source of embarrassment for Riley.
Riley's best friend is Maya Hart, who ultimately becomes Shawn Hunter's adopted daughter after he marries her mother Katy.
