Thomas DeSimone (May 24, 1950 – disappeared January 14, 1979) was an American criminal associated with New York City's Lucchese crime family who is alleged to have participated in both the Air France robbery and the Lufthansa heist.

The movie version of DeSimone’s death is fictional speculation. He disappeared—obviously murdered—and his body was never found. In the movie those are presumably two Lucchese old-timers Tommy would’ve trusted, but they might very well have been killing him on behalf of the Gambino’s to keep the peace.
