Dave Schramm is an American musician best known for his stint as the lead guitarist for Yo La Tengo during the band's early years. Schramm was born and raised on Long Island, New York . After learning to play several instruments from the age of eight, Schramm picked up the guitar in his teenage years.
Yo La Tengo (Spanish for "I've got it"; also abbreviated as YLT) is an American indie rock band formed in Hoboken, New Jersey, in 1984. Since 1992, the lineup has consisted of Ira Kaplan (guitars, piano, vocals), Georgia Hubley (drums, piano, vocals), and James McNew (bass, vocals).
