Yaron Finkelman (Hebrew: ירון פינקלמן; born April 25, 1975) is an Israeli major general who commands the Southern Command of the Israel Defense Forces. Military service. Finkelman was drafted into the IDF in 1993 and did most of his military service in the Paratroopers Brigade.
Major General Finkelman has three children who visit him at Command HQ, but as long as Sinwar remains alive and the hostages are held by Hxmas, he stays at his post and joins the forces in combat in Gaza.
