  4. Nov 14, 2017 · Tungsten disilicide (WSi 2) was synthesized by simple thermal treatment at 1350 °C for 4 h in an argon atmosphere. We found that optimizing the synthesis conditions led to a mix of pure WSi 2 (85 %) and W 5 Si 3 (15 %) phases, with negligible amounts of impurity phases present.
